Caroline Merrick

Mrs Merrick was appointed to the Head of City campus in 2019, having moved from the Haileybury Brighton Campus. At Brighton, Caroline was the Senior Deputy Head and the Head of Junior School, previously having taught in NSW schools for over 25 years. She joined Haileybury from Barker College, a Preschool to Year 12 coeducational school in Sydney, where she was a member of the School Executive. Prior to this, Mrs Merrick had a long history of working at Sydney Grammar School. Sydney Grammar is the leading independent select entry academic school in Australia and the high school is located in the centre of Sydney. She brings a great depth of knowledge on high academic performance, student wellbeing and engagement, and the development of curriculum and programs that can see a school engage with an inner city location. Mrs Merrick leads a strong community at the City campus in her role as the second Head of Haileybury City.
